Christos

Later that evening, Christos called Ameer back to tell him the situation with Diego was handled. His next call was to Aaliyah. Her phone rang twice before she picked up.

“Hey Chris,”

“Hey yourself. I was calling to invite you to dinner so that we could finish our conversation. I can make a reservation. Do you have a place in mind that you would like to go?”

“I don’t think that’s a good idea.”

“You don’t think it’s a good idea that we talk?”

“No Chris, I’m not saying that. We need to have a private conversation, in private,” she said as she bit down on her lip.

“Where do you propose we have this talk?” he asked sarcastically.

“I would say my house, but London and Felicia are here.”

“We can have dinner at my place. What about tomorrow at seven? I can have my driver pick you up.”

“Seven is fine. I will see you tomorrow.”

Aaliyah walked back into the living with London and Felicia.

“He asked me to meet him for dinner in his condo.”

Felicia and London looked over at her.

“What did you tell him?” Felicia asked.

“I said I would meet him.”

“Finally,” Felicia said as she turned in her seat.

Aaliyah smiled as she looked at her friends. She loved that they spent the week with her, but she knew they would have to get back to their lives soon. They’ve already been there almost a week.

“We only have a few more nights together. What are we doing tonight?” London asked.

“Can we just order some food, hang out, and talk?” Aaliyah asked.

“We’ve been doing that all week, but if that’s what you want…” Felicia said.

“It sounds like a relaxing idea to me. I say we get into our pajamas and meet back in the living room in thirty minutes. I need to take a quick shower and make a call,” London added.

“Sounds good to me,” Felicia responded.

“Okay, I’ll order the food now.” Aaliyah said.

A half an hour later, they were sitting in the living room eating. They all ordered different foods. London ordered sushi, Felicia wanted pizza, and Aaliyah ate a salad.

“You know you need to eat more than that rabbit food.”

“I know, but I’m still trying to settle my stomach,” Aaliyah responded.

They continued to eat as Aaliyah smiled. She was so thankful to have such incredible friends. Despite the hardships and difficulties, they have been there for her every step of the way and have done their best to help her get through this tough time.

“What do I say to him?” Aaliyah asked, breaking the silence in the room.

“Tell him the truth,” Felicia responded.

“You two really need to talk,” London added.

“Wow, maybe you two can get back together. God knows you need to get laid. Maybe he can bang some of that stress out of you.” Felicia teased.

“You are so nasty. Is sex all you think about?” Aaliyah asked as she rolled her eyes.

“Pretty much,” Felicia responded as she sipped her wine. “Especially when you’re not getting any.” She looked at her friends. “Don’t get me wrong, being single can be exciting and liberating,” she said as she swung her head from side to side.
